Em Inglis Therapy
msc counselling and psychotherapy
I offer tailored mental health support in person and online, providing a safe, affirming space for you to bring your whole self.

My Approach
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, and significant life changes. As an Autistic practitioner, I specialise in supporting neurodivergent people, but my work suits anyone with a busy mind and deep emotions who is tired of facing their challenges in isolation.
Working together, we will strengthen your self-acceptance and resilience within a welcoming, warm environment. I provide remote sessions via video call or face-to-face in Chorlton, South Manchester.
Neurodiversity affirming Therapy
I provide a safe, affirming space where your neurodivergence is accepted and nurtured, whilst also understanding the difficulties that Autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD clients experience. This approach helps clients build self-esteem and foster emotional resilience, rather than changing themselves to fit into a world that isn't built with neurodivergence in mind.
Modalities
I practice from a person-centred approach, meaning I believe you hold the power for change. Rather than giving advice, I offer reflections and gentle challenge to help you grow. I draw on Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and ACT to support our work together.
How I Work
Deep self-reflection is demanding work, but I will support you at your own speed throughout. While the process can be intense, I also think that there can be so much that is enjoyable about therapy! That might seem a little weird to say, but I believe there is also room for laughter and humour in sessions as we navigate difficult territory.
Inclusive Therapy
Â
I am queer and non binary and I have experience working with trans, non binary, gender non-conforming and gender questioning clients, including those on the wait list for Indigo services. I also work with clients practicing ethical non-monogamy and those in polyamorous relationships.Â
My services

In Person Therapy
In person sessions are on Tuesday mornings and Wednesdays, held in a bright, airy office in Chorlton on the ground floor. I work in a space where other therapists practice, as well as artists and artisans in a leafy tucked away cul-de-sac.
Online Therapy
I use Zoom and Google Meet to host video sessions. All you need is a quiet, private space and a stable Wi-Fi connection. Many clients find online sessions more accessible and easier to schedule into their busy lives.
Fees
Standard 1-hour sessions cost £70. First sessions are discounted at £35. I provide a reduced £45 rate for counselling students needing hours for their studies.
